  Tourist places in the world have been referred to as travel destinations, a place to visit. Tourist destinations often serve as cultural icons of national or international customs and traditions. They are usually home to some kind of attraction or have something distinctive about them which defines their culture.

 The most visited countries in the world are France, Spain, the USA, China, etc. These countries have some famous tourist places for the tourists. Some of them are the Eiffel Tower in Paris; The Statue of Liberty in New York City; the Great Wall of China and the Yellowstone National Park in the US.

 The World Tourism Organization estimates that international tourist arrivals grew by 4% in 2011, to a record 1.013 billion. Top 10 Tourism Destinations in the World. In the top list of tourism, countries are France, Spain, the USA, China, etc.

The world is filled with beautiful and interesting places to visit. Here are some of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Germany

Germany is a country in Central Europe, bordered to the north by the North Sea, Denmark, and the Baltic Sea, to the east by Poland, the Czech Republic, and Austria, and to the south by Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, and Austria. Germany is among the best tourist destinations in the world for its culture and heritage as well as its many castles, palaces, and cathedrals.

It was built in the years 1661-to 1710. The palace was built by Louis XIV, who was King at that time. He wanted a place to stay while he ruled France but didn't want to stay in the city because he wanted someplace more quiet and beautiful. The first part he wanted to build was a little building at the bottom of his garden which would be used as his hunting lodge, as well as later become one of his homes.

The Sossusvlei is located only 150 km south of Walvis Bay on approximately 45 000 hectares (110 square miles) of protected land that has been recognized as an International Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO since 1977.

 Calton Hill is one of the many places to see when visiting the city of Edinburgh. This hill is basically a steep rocky hill which lies eastwards from Princes Street and offers tourists a great unobstructed view of the city center. The hill was purchased in 1840 by the Town Council for public use and enjoyment, with the formation of a public park which was named Royal Park. This eventually became Calton Hill Park as it is now known.

Ibiza

The island of Ibiza in Spain is a popular tourist destination and a place for tourists to visit. Ibiza has something distinctive about it, which is that it's home to the world's most famous club, Pacha. This club is located on the beach at Playa den Bossa in Ibiza Town.  The local population is mixed, and you will find representatives of all the main cultures in the world on the island. Ibiza has been inhabited for over 5,000 years. Stone Age tools have been found at several different sites around the island, including Palma Nova and Imossos. 

There are also remains from Phoenician-Punic times (900-450BC) to more recent periods when Mauretania Tingitana was a Roman province (27BC-6AD). In subsequent centuries, Ibiza was invaded by the Vandals and reconquered by Byzantium before filtering into the Visigothic Kingdom of Toledo. In 711 AD Islamic forces conquered Ibiza until 1229 when it returned to Christian control under the Kingdom of Aragon as part of its conquest of Muslim lands in Spain.

Prague Castle

 Located in the heart of Prague, the Prague Castle (Pražský head) is the largest ancient castle in the world. As crown jewels and royal residence of the Bohemian kings, it was built in various stages between the 10th and 18th centuries, with the work being completed under Austrian emperor Joseph II. The castle houses different collections selected by several famous artists, such as Alphonse Mucha and Gustav Klimt.

 Prague Castle (and Hradcany where it stands) is considered the most important national monument in the Czech Republic. It was started in the 9th century and reconstructed from the 14th to 18th centuries. It served as a residence for kings and presidents, archives, armory and treasury, church, and college. 

Prague Castle is one of the most fascinating and important historic monuments in Europe. Being a symbol of power, the Czech statehood and its political role in European history, it had been built in different periods by different styles and masters (such as Petr Parléř, Giovanni Maria Filippi, and Petr Emanuel Bertl).
